Job summary

KBR in Australia is seeking a part-time Contracts Administrator to support the ACS CLCM team on a Defence sustainment program. You will provide commercial and contractual oversight across Head Contracts and subcontracts, ensuring obligations and performance sit at the heart of project delivery.

This 0.6 FTE, 24 hours per week role requires a professional with strong negotiation skills, attention to detail and knowledge of export controls/ITAR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law or Finance or demonstrated relevant professional experience.
• 5+ years of Defence/government commercial management or procurement.
• Negotiation experience.
• Familiarity with ASDEFCON or willingness to develop knowledge.
• Experience with export controls and ITAR compliance.

Responsibilities

• Support contract management and procurement under ASDEFCON, ensuring proper administration of Head Contract and subcontract requirements.
• Draft and manage contract notices, claims and change proposals per obligations.
• Maintain contract records, modifications and amendments across Head Contract and subcontracts.
• Provide commercial and contractual support for S&Q activities and other service requests.
• Manage subcontractor engagement, due diligence, onboarding and ongoing administration.
• Support negotiations, contract variations and PO activities while managing commercial risk.
• Manage IP and technical data requirements and assist contract performance reviews.
• Provide contract analysis, commercial advice and stakeholder support across the CLCM team.
• Act as Export Control Officer, ensuring ITAR compliance for the project.
• Monitor, report on commercial/contractual risks and support governance and improvement activities.
