Job summary

Executive is seeking a Communications Technician L3 to provide advanced technical and maintenance support across the CJC10 product line at Campbell Park Offices, Canberra, ACT. The role requires NV1 clearance and operates as an 11‑month contract with a close date of 22/09/2026.

The successful candidate will apply broad communications engineering knowledge, manage technical packages, and collaborate with Defence stakeholders and suppliers to achieve sustainment outcomes.

Qualifications

• Higher education or vocational qualifications in communications engineering or equivalent experience.
• Ability to communicate fluently, both orally and in writing.
• Strong problem-solving, risk management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience in Defence sustainment and technical assurance activities.

Responsibilities

• Execute complex communications technical and maintenance activities to meet set priorities and milestones.
• Exercise technical authorities and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Develop and assess technical packages, reports, and product performance against requirements.
• Identify risks, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement in systems and processes.
• Provide detailed technical and maintenance guidance to engineering managers and leads.
• Build relationships with Defence stakeholders, industry partners and suppliers to influence outcomes.
• Mentor staff and contribute to knowledge management.
