Job summary

Service Stream is recruiting an Estate Upkeep (EU) Supervisor to lead the Defence Base estate upkeep across the Larrakeyah precinct. The role oversees in-house teams and external contractors, ensuring SLA targets are met while maintaining a safe working environment.

This is a permanent full-time position reporting to the PAS Manager. You must be an Australian citizen with the ability to obtain Defence Security Clearance.

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory experience in estate upkeep or facilities management.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and experience in issuing permits-to-work.
• Experience managing both in-house and external contractor teams.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Proficiency with maintenance management software/systems.
• Relevant qualifications in facilities management or trade-related fields are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Estate Upkeep function across the designated Base Security Areas.
• Coordinate and manage in-house teams and external contractors.
• Issue permits-to-work and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Conduct toolbox talks and pre-start meetings for daily tasks and safety.
• Perform post-work quality inspections and audits to meet standards.
• Maintain accurate records of estate upkeep activities.
• Develop maintenance schedules with PAS Base Manager.
• Identify and address maintenance issues promptly and effectively.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate on continuous process improvements with teams.
