Job summary

Downer Professional Services is seeking an AI Governance TEVV Specialist to lead and mature Army AI test, evaluation, verification and validation capabilities. You will drive governance, assurance, and risk strategies for AI-enabled systems in a defence context, engaging senior stakeholders and cross-sector partners.

You will contribute to the development of artefacts, use cases and system cards, while ensuring compliance with defence policies and security requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering AI governance, assurance or AI safety programs.
• Ability to assess AI-enabled systems and identify risks.
• Strong stakeholder engagement in complex, regulated environments.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI governance artefacts, including AI Use Cases, Model Cards and System Cards.
• Provide clear, evidence-based advice, reports and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Contribute to TEVV activities and assurance outcomes across defence programs.
• Collaborate with Defence, industry, academia and government to advance AI initiatives.
