Job summary

XPT SoftwareAustralia PTY Ltd is seeking an AI Governance, Assurance and TEVV Specialist (NV1) to lead governance, assurance and evaluation activities for AI-enabled systems in Defence. You will review policies, develop artefacts, and provide evidence-based advice to senior stakeholders.

The role requires strong experience in AI governance, risk management, and IV&V, with the ability to translate complex findings into practical decision-support material for Army customers.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in STEM or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and review Army AI governance artefacts (Use Cases, System Cards, Model Cards).
• Review AI policies and submissions; advise on implications for Army.
• Support implementation and continuous improvement of AI governance and assurance arrangements.
• Analyze complex technical, operational and policy issues to provide evidence-based advice.
• Engage with Defence, industry, academia and government to support AI governance and capability activities.
• Translate findings into clear, actionable reports for senior decision-makers.
