Job summary

Department of Defence - Army is seeking an AI Governance, Assurance & TEVV Specialist to lead governance, assurance and evaluation across AI-enabled systems. The role requires active NV1 security clearance and is based onsite at Symonston, ACT, with travel as needed.

The candidate will develop artefacts such as Model Cards, System Cards and Use Case documentation, review policies, and provide evidence-based advice to senior capability decision-makers.

Qualifications

• Tertiary STEM qualification or equivalent experience in AI/ML governance and assurance.
• Minimum five years applying AI/ML governance, assurance, risk, or TEVV methodologies.
• Ability to translate complex evidence into decision-support material.

Responsibilities

• Develop and mature Army AI governance artefacts and related documentation.
• Review policies, submissions and proposals and advise on implications.
• Support implementation and continuous improvement of AI governance arrangements.
• Provide evidence-based advice to senior decision-makers.
• Engage with Defence, industry and government organisations.
• Translate technical findings into actionable reports for stakeholders.
