Airswift is seeking a Mine Planning Engineer in Perth to support a major Decarb & Green Product Delivery program. This 12-month casual contract role acts as the key link between the Decarb Infrastructure team and mine planning functions, ensuring near-term mine plans translate into infrastructure and energisation requirements for future mining operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Mine Planning, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in open-pit mining operations and mine planning.
• Experience with short-to-medium-term mine planning, including 2-year planning horizons.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary interface between the 2-Year Planning (2YP) and Operations Planning teams.
• Attend planning meetings and coordinate planning inputs across stakeholders.
• Translate approved mine plans into electrical infrastructure and energisation requirements.
• Model HME charging demand, including charger types, quantities, and locations across the mine plan horizon.
• Maintain and update the integrated pit register, including charging infrastructure and cabled equipment requirements.
• Identify and manage scheduling conflicts between fleet deployment, energisation activities, and mine plans.
• Quantify cost and schedule impacts resulting from mine plan changes and support trade-off assessments.
• Ensure infrastructure planning aligns with the latest approved quarterly mine plans.
• Publish planning datasets into Anvil/Snowflake platforms.
• Support infrastructure standardisation initiatives and change management processes.
