Job summary

Airswift is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to contribute to a major EPCM project in the mining and materials handling sector in Perth. The role focuses on technical documentation, design reports, calculations, and electrical layouts for HV and LV systems, within a dynamic project team.

Ideal candidates will have experience in mining/materials handling projects, producing high-quality technical deliverables and electrical layouts.

Qualifications

• Experience in mining or materials handling projects.
• Delivery of high-quality technical deliverables: specifications, design reports, calculations, and engineering documentation.
• Creation of electrical layouts including HV/LV systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review electrical design deliverables and calculations.
• Develop HV and LV single-line diagrams and cable route layouts.
• Produce layouts, schematics and termination details for projects.

Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

Contract duration: 12 months

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week

Location: Perth CBD, Western Australia

Start date: Preferably someone that can start as soon as possible

The role focuses on technical documentation, design reports, calculations, engineering documentation, and electrical layouts including HV and LV systems. This position is well suited to professionals looking to apply strong electrical engineering capability within a dynamic project team.

Required Experience

• Electrical engineering experience within materials handling or mining projects
• Experience preparing high quality technical deliverables including project specifications, design reports, calculations, and engineering documentation
• Experience producing electrical engineering layouts

Required Skills

• Development of HV and LV single line diagrams
• Preparation of HV and LV cable route layouts
• Preparation of schematics and terminations
• Strong technical documentation and design capability within project delivery environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Underground mining experience
• Based in Perth or nearby – able to commute to the Perth CBD on a daily basis
• Iron ore project experience
