Job summary

Living Waters Lutheran College in Tasmania invites an experienced Dean of Teaching and Learning to lead teaching excellence across Years 7–12, shaping curriculum, assessment, and professional learning as part of the Senior Secondary Leadership Team.

This role includes a teaching allocation up to 0.4 FTE, a focus on data-informed improvement, and developing Heads of Learning Areas to strengthen student outcomes in a Christ-centred community.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Education or Educational Leadership is required.
• Current Teacher Registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia.
• Proven success in educational leadership within a secondary school setting.
• Strong expertise in curriculum, assessment, pedagogy, and academic improvement.
• Experience leading and developing staff and leadership teams.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse and act on student achievement data.
• Outstanding communication, relationship-building, and organisational skills.
• A personal Christian faith and willingness to support the Christian ethos of the College.

Responsibilities

• Lead curriculum planning, implementation, review, and innovation across Years 7–12.
• Oversee assessment, reporting, moderation, and academic compliance.
• Lead professional learning and instructional coaching across the College.
• Analyse academic data to drive student achievement and improvement.
• Mentor Heads of Learning Areas and support staff development.
