Job summary

AirTrunk is seeking an experienced DCS/SCADA engineer in Queensland to maintain Niagara-based control systems across multiple hyperscale data centres. You will manage DCS/CMS, perform optimization, and provide robust incident support while coordinating with site operations.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in DDC/PLC logic, BACnet/Modbus, and strong IT networking skills, with a focus on reliability and energy efficiency in critical data centre environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in maintenance, programming and integration of Tridium Niagara based control systems (essential).
• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, UPS and automation protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, DNP3.
• Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels within an organisation.

Responsibilities

• DCS and CMS maintenance from servers to field devices across multiple sites, including backups, cybersecurity, and firmware updates.
• Provide risk-mitigated plant optimization strategies and analyze data to generate actionable insights.
• Attend to controls-related incidents with L1-L3 technical support and adhere to SLAs.
• Collaborate with site operations during maintenance and support post-construction defects.
