Job summary

Precision Sourcing is seeking a Payroll Specialist in Sydney to take ownership of end-to-end payroll for assigned pay groups. You will manage pre-pay, pay-run and post-pay activities in a high-volume environment, solve complex transactions, complete reconciliations and respond to employee queries.

You'll work closely with HR, Finance and operations, contribute to system improvements and provide guidance to teammates.

Qualifications

• Experienced Payroll Officer or Payroll Specialist with strong deadlines and complex issue resolution.
• Experience in high-volume or complex payroll environments.
• Knowledge of Awards, Enterprise Agreements, superannuation, taxation and leave.
• Strong Excel and payroll system experience.
• Proactive, accountable and detail-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Owning end-to-end payroll across assigned pay groups
• Managing pre-pay, pay-run and post-pay activities
• Processing complex transactions, including terminations, back pay, leave adjustments and corrections
• Completing reconciliations, controls and exception checks
• Investigating payroll discrepancies and resolving employee queries
• Working with HR, Finance and operational stakeholders
• Supporting system improvements, testing and process enhancements
• Providing guidance to other team members when needed

You’ll be an experienced Payroll Officer or Payroll Specialist who is confident managing payroll deadlines and working through complex issues.

You’ll ideally bring:

• Strong end-to-end payroll experience
• Experience within a high-volume or complex payroll environment
• Knowledge of Awards, Enterprise Agreements, superannuation, taxation and leave
• Confidence completing reconciliations and investigating discrepancies
• Strong Excel and payroll system experience
• A proactive, accountable and detail-focused approach

Experience with Dayforce would be top of the list
