Lead Group in Brisbane is seeking a Day Shift Supervisor to lead a production team in a steel/manufacturing environment. You will oversee daily workshop operations, ensure safety and quality, and drive productivity to meet targets.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in steel, manufacturing, fabrication, warehousing or a similar industrial environment
• Previous experience as Supervisor, Leading Hand or Team Leader
• Strong understanding of production and workshop operations
• Experience working around heavy materials and industrial equipment
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• A practical, hands-on approach to problem solving
• The ability to motivate and manage a production team
• A proactive approach and strong work ethic

Responsibilities

• Supervising and supporting a production team
• Coordinating daily workflow and allocating tasks
• Monitoring productivity, quality and output
• Ensuring safe work practices and procedures are followed
• Identifying and reporting hazards, incidents and operational issues
• Providing hands-on support across manufacturing operations
• Coordinating materials and workflow throughout the facility
• Supporting loading, dispatch and material preparation
• Operating and overseeing relevant production equipment
• Assisting with equipment checks and basic maintenance
• Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and processes
• Working closely with management to resolve operational issues
• Supporting a positive, accountable and safety-focused team culture

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Day Shift Supervisor to join a well-established manufacturing business in Brisbane.

This is a hands-on leadership position suited to someone with experience in steel, manufacturing, fabrication or a similar industrial environment, who enjoys leading a team while remaining actively involved in day-to-day operations.

About the Role

Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of the workshop and ensuring production runs safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising and supporting a production team
• Coordinating daily workflow and allocating tasks
