Job summary

JOBSTAR PTY LTD in Melbourne's western suburbs seeks a Data Technician to install, terminate and test AI-grade UTP and fibre cabling in live data centres. You will work in clean, secure spaces with strict change-control procedures and zero-downtime expectations.

You’ll route and test cabling, document results, and maintain high standards of accuracy, professionalism and safety while respecting established access protocols.

Qualifications

• Experience in data cabling (UTP and fibre essential).
• Strong attention to detail and pride in doing things properly.
• Ability to work in high-security, procedure-driven environments.
• Understanding of data centre etiquette and risk awareness.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Current cabling registration (ACMA) preferred.
• Fibre testing experience highly regarded.
