Job summary

Protech is seeking data technicians and optic splicers with fibre and copper experience for data centres in the western suburbs of Melbourne. Casual roles start ASAP with day shifts, Monday to Friday.

Role requires electrical/data cabling experience, White Card, and a current driver’s licence. You will install and support communications infrastructure, read drawings, and work safely within project teams across site environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in Communications, Electrical, Data Cabling or similar technical environments is essential.
• White Card is essential.
• Current Driver’s Licence required.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to quality and safety.

$50ph-$55ph + super + penalties + travel

Key Responsibilities:

• Experience in Communications, Electrical, Data Cabling, or similar technical environments is essential for the role
• Install and support communications infrastructure in data centres
• Read and interpret project drawings and documentation
• Fibre and copper cable installations and terminations
• Work collaboratively with project teams
• Follow all site safety procedures and industry standards

You will have:

• White Card (essential)
• Current Driver’s Licence
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to quality and safety
• Ability to work independently and within a team
