Job summary

Change Recruitment in Mitcham, Melbourne VIC is seeking an experienced Data & Analytics Reporting Lead / BI Technical Lead to own enterprise reporting and analytics delivery.

The role focuses on BI, data modelling, stakeholder engagement and delivering reporting solutions across a complex enterprise, with hybrid work and exposure to Azure, Databricks and cloud data platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Business Intelligence, enterprise reporting or analytics, ideally in a Lead or Senior Technical position.
• Advanced Power BI experience, including semantic models, dimensional modelling and SQL.
• Proven experience leading complex reporting or analytics projects within large enterprise environments.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Understanding of enterprise data architecture, data warehousing and ETL/ELT processes.
• Exposure to Azure, Databricks, Snowflake or Microsoft Fabric is highly regarded, but deep hands-on data engineering experience is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of enterprise BI, reporting and analytics solutions from requirements through to implementation.
• Work closely with senior business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Provide technical leadership across Power BI reporting, semantic modelling and data modelling initiatives.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering teams working across Azure, Databricks and other enterprise data platforms.
• Lead complex reporting projects involving multiple systems, business functions and technical teams.
• Mentor technical team members and promote best practices in reporting, data quality and governance.
• Ensure reporting solutions are scalable, reliable and aligned with broader business objectives.

Data & Analytics Reporting Lead / BI Technical Lead

Mitcham, Melbourne VIC (Hybrid – 3 days in office)

About the Role

We're partnering with a large, well-established utilities company looking for an experienced Data & Analytics Reporting Lead to take ownership of enterprise reporting and analytics delivery.

This is a technical leadership position focused on Business Intelligence, data modelling, stakeholder engagement and delivering reporting solutions across a complex enterprise environment.

You'll work closely with business stakeholders, Data Engineering teams and technical leads to ensure reporting and analytics solutions meet business needs.
