Job summary
The Hassett Group seeks a Senior Analytics Engineer to advance our data and analytics environment. You will transform core systems data into trusted datasets, bridging data engineering and BI for analytics and reporting.
Key focus areas include scalable data models on Microsoft Fabric, ELT pipelines, and semantic modeling with Power BI, working closely with stakeholders to deliver robust data solutions.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in an Analytics Engineer, BI Engineer or similar data-focused role.
- Advanced SQL skills and strong experience developing dimensional data models.
- Experience working with Microsoft Fabric, Azure or comparable modern cloud data platforms.
- Strong understanding of semantic modelling and Power BI.
- Practical experience with ELT/ETL, data transformation and integration.
- Broader Data Engineering experience across pipelines, Lakehouse/Warehouse architecture or data ingestion will be highly regarded.
- StrongStakeholder communication skills with the ability to connect technical data solutions to business requirements.

This is primarily an Analytics Engineering role, sitting between traditional data engineering and business intelligence. You’ll work across data transformation, modelling and the semantic layer, turning data from core business systems into trusted, well-structured datasets that can be readily used for analytics and reporting.
The environment is centred around Microsoft Fabric, SQL and Power BI, so we’re looking for someone with strong analytics engineering capability who ideally also brings practical data engineering experience across areas such as ingestion, ELT, integration and modern cloud data platforms.
