Job summary

Jobgether, representing a partner company, seeks a Data QA Engineer in Australia. You will ensure data accuracy, completeness, and reliability for web data extraction projects and AI-assisted solutions, translating requirements into measurable quality standards.

Join a globally distributed team, apply exploratory and automated testing, use Python, SQL, and reporting to communicate results, and help improve QA processes from the start of each project.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in QA engineering or data testing roles.
• Proficient in Python for data validation, preferably with Pandas and Jupyter.
• SQL skills to query and validate data in relational databases.
• Strong understanding of web technologies: HTML, XPath, JSON, HTTP, CSS.
• Experience testing HTTP/REST APIs and validating responses.
• Knowledge of data quality: completeness, accuracy, consistency and drift.
• Experience in Agile environments and collaboration with developers.
• Familiarity with AI/LLM tools to improve test generation and data validation.
• Strong English communication, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer data extraction requirements into clear QA criteria and strategies.
• Perform exploratory, manual, and automated testing where valuable.
• Execute test cycles on extracted data to validate against specs.
• Document defects with steps and evidence for efficient resolution.
• Apply statistics and visuals to assess data completeness and drift.
• Prepare quality reports and scoring metrics for teams and customers.
• Identify testing scope, untested areas, and associated risks.
• Collaborate with managers and customers to clarify requirements.
• Contribute to test automation framework improvements for coverage and performance.
• Propose QA process enhancements including new tooling.
