A leading Software Quality Engineering consultancy is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to enhance a large Queensland Government project. The role involves developing automated test solutions, conducting data validation, and executing SQL queries. Qualifications

• Approximately 2–5 years’ experience in testing or test engineering roles.
• Experience with data migration testing.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute data validation and reconciliation tests.
• Develop and run SQL queries to validate large datasets.
• Contribute to overall data quality assurance across ETL and pipeline processes.
• Develop and maintain automated test solutions for data validation.

Skills

Strong SQL skills for data validation and analysis

Experience in data testing and reconciliation

Exposure to test automation frameworks (e.g. Python)

Understanding of enterprise testing practices

Experience with Azure data platforms

Programming experience (e.g. Python)

Tools

TOSCA (Data Integrity)

Data pipeline/orchestration tools (e.g. DBT)
