Job summary

IOOF Holdings Limited in Melbourne is seeking a QA Engineer to join our Data Engineering team. As we roll out a state-of-the-art data platform on Google Cloud with BigQuery, you’ll ensure data pipelines, ETL processes, and analytics solutions meet quality standards.

You will design and execute test scripts, collaborate with Data Engineers and QA Leads to integrate tests into CI/CD, and support ongoing build activities, with a strong emphasis on data quality and reliable deployments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of QA experience as a test engineer for data pipelines, ETL, data warehouses or analytics platforms.
• Familiarity with Jira.
• Experience with data-centric testing; data warehouse experience preferred.
• Excellent communication to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated test frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the quality of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data analytics solutions through rigorous testing and validation

What you will bring:

We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer with a strong technical background and a passion for data quality. To thrive in this role, you will:

• 3+ Years experience in QA as a test engineer,testing data pipelines, ETL processes, data warehouses, or analytics platforms.
• Familiarity with Jira
• Sound knowledge of testing in a data-centric environment (Data warehouse preferable)
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated test frameworks
