Job summary

Built is seeking a Data Manager to lead data governance, quality, and analytics across clinical and operational data. You will collaborate with clinicians and stakeholders, drive data standards, and ensure compliant data practices to support service improvement and organizational performance.

The role requires hands-on data engineering experience, excellent communication, and leadership to guide cross-functional teams while delivering high-quality data solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in data management, including database administration, data analysis, and governance.
• Proficiency in database management tools such as SQL, Oracle, MySQL.
• Experience in data modelling, metadata management, and data warehousing.
• Knowledge of data privacy laws and regulations.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data governance policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Design, develop and maintain database systems and data storage infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain data mapping, data models, and data dictionaries.
• Create best practices for data management, including backup, recovery, and data quality.
• Ensure data is safeguarded against unauthorised access, modification, or destruction.
• Coordinate with the IT team to govern integration between data systems.
• Develop reports and visualisations for data analysis and decision support.
• Work with business owners to understand data needs and develop solutions.
• Conduct audits to ensure compliance with governance policies and regulatory mandates.
