Job summary

Icon Water is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to strengthen governance, quality and integrity of enterprise data across the organisation. You will work with a broad range of business and technology stakeholders to drive improvements in data quality, compliance and data management maturity, ensuring trusted information supports essential services.

This role sits within the Enterprise Architecture Branch of the Digital and Data portfolio and reports to the Data Governance Lead.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Information Technology, Data & Information Management, or related discipline.
• Experience in Data Governance, Data Management, or Information Management within a medium to large organisation.
• Strong knowledge of data governance concepts including data quality, metadata, master data and stewardship.
• Experience implementing or supporting governance frameworks, policies, standards and governance improvement initiatives.
• Understanding of privacy, information security, records management and relevant regulatory obligations.
• Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders to embed governance practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills; translate technical concepts to business outcomes.
• Professional certifications in data governance/management are highly regarded.
• Experience with modern data, analytics and cloud technologies is valued.
