Job summary

EY Data & Analytics is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Technology Consulting team in Sydney. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the project lifecycle to define data journeys aligned with client strategies, architecture, and implementation, leveraging leading cloud technologies.

This hybrid role based in Sydney offers flexible hours and opportunities to work with diverse, global teams on data architecture, BI and analytics initiatives.

Qualifications

• Hands-on expertise with Spark, Python and SQL, plus one or more of Java, Scala or Kafka.
• Experience building data integration pipelines and working with RDBMS, NoSQL and blob storage technologies.
• Experience with cloud and container platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, containers or OpenStack.

Responsibilities

• Work with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand complex data challenges and identify practical analytical and engineering solutions.
• Design and develop data integration patterns, scalable pipelines, and data profiling and cleansing frameworks across varied data types and platforms.
• Contribute across strategy, road-mapping, architecture, implementation and development to deliver high-quality outcomes for clients.
