EG Australia is seeking an experienced Data & Analytics Engineer for a 6-month contract in North Sydney. You will design and maintain scalable Azure data pipelines and data models to enable data-driven decision making across the organisation.

You will work on Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics and Power BI, while contributing to governance, documentation and cross-functional collaboration during a period of business integration.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in an Azure data engineering role.
• Proficiency in Azure Synapse Analytics and advanced SQL scripts.
• Experience with ETL and scheduling tools in Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps and Power Automate.
• Knowledge of star-schema data warehousing modelling and data governance practices.
• Experience documenting standards and technical guidance.
• Background in DB design, ETL, and MDM using Azure to optimize pipelines.

Responsabilités

• Design, test and implement scalable data pipelines in Azure Data Factory.
• Enhance and maintain data storage and processing in data warehouses/data lakes on Azure.
• Automate data analysis and reporting processes with various tools and scripts.
• Build and deploy data quality checks and models; perform data model impact assessments.
• Assess data-related integrations and propose solutions to the business.
• Support data governance with documentation, naming conventions and glossaries.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business problems into scalable data pipelines and models.
