We are currently opening a position for a Data Centre Technician to work with our Melbourne facilities team.

This role will see you supporting the Facility Management Team with the day-to-day operations of the data centre by providing high quality & efficient technical maintenance and customer service.

Your Responsibilities will include:

Maintaining in-depth knowledge of the Facility Rules and ensure adherence at all times
Assisting with customer equipment and installations
Delivery of cabling needs, electrical and data, to customer racks and areas
Attending to Remote Hands Request ensuring they are delivered within the SLA
Assisting with the maintenance of all core electrical and mechanical systems
Assist in the production of various operational and customer reports
Ensuring that facility problems are identified and resolved in a timely manner

Qualifications

Hands on experience with fibre optic cabling
Excellent customer service, communication skills and most importantly, a can do attitude
Good knowledge of critical infrastructure in a data centre
Good planning, organising and analytical skills
TAFE Cert in Telecommunications
Candidates MUST be Australian Citizens because of security clearances required
