Job summary

CDC Data Centres is expanding its Melbourne team with a new data centre facility and a hands‑on training pathway through the CDC Academy. The role involves monitoring critical infrastructure and supporting live data centre operations in a high‑reliability environment.

Ideal candidates bring a trade or technical background in Electrical, Refrigeration/HVAC or Mechanical, with a focus on safety, documentation and coordinated on‑site activity.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical, HVAC, or other critical infrastructure environments is preferred.
• Strong safety and process discipline.
• Ability to produce clear documentation and logs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to alarms across power, cooling, and fire systems.
• Perform physical inspections to ensure equipment operates within parameters.
• Respond to faults and incidents, prioritise actions and escalate when needed.
• Carry out operational switching and control activities to prevent outages.
• Support planned maintenance and coordinate with contractors on site.
• Document incidents and maintenance activities for continuous improvement.
