Job summary

Embedded Expertise is seeking an Mechanical Engineer to design and engineer HVAC, cooling and ventilation systems for UPS, battery rooms, switchrooms, generators, modular systems and data centres. Reporting to the Delivery Manager, you will guide projects from inception to handover.

Candidates should hold a Mechanical Engineering degree and have strong experience in critical infrastructure cooling, load calculations and site commissioning, with UPS/battery knowledge valued.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Strong experience designing HVAC/cooling for critical infrastructure (ideally data centres).
• Experience performing cooling load calculations and selecting equipment.
• Experience designing and/or commissioning cooling systems, ideally within data centres.
• Knowledge of UPS, battery, switchgear or other electrical infrastructure is highly regarded.
• Experience of site-based commissioning.
