Job summary

Firmus Technologies in Australia is seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee day-to-day supervision and execution of Network Layer 1 installation works for large-scale data centre deployments. You will report to the Site Manager and supervise subcontractors and installation crews.

The role emphasizes planning, productivity, and change management across manpower, method, machine, and money, ensuring progress stays on schedule.

Qualifications

• Diploma or technical qualification in Telecommunications or a related field.
• 3–8 years of site supervision or network installation experience.
• Practical fibre optic installation experience is required.
• Experience supervising subcontractors and installation crews is highly valued.
• Strong knowledge of fibre testing and troubleshooting methods.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily Network Layer 1 installation activities.
• Oversee fibre cable installation, routing, termination and testing.
• Coordinate rack & stack activities and physical installation.
• Maintain daily/weekly plans, monitor progress and adapt plans.
• Ensure compliance with drawings, schedules and project standards.
