Job summary

Firmus Technologies in Wesley Vale, Tasmania seeks a Site Manager to oversee end-to-end site execution of Network Layer 1 infrastructure for large-scale data center deployments. You will coordinate rack install, cabling, and testing while leading subcontractors and ensuring safety and quality.

The role requires collaboration with Network Engineers and the M&E team to bring up power and cooling in line with deployment sequences and to drive issues to closure in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Telecommunications, Network Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Construction Management or a related technical discipline.
• Structured cabling, fibre optic or networking qualifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead Network Layer 1 construction and installation activities on site.
• Coordinate and supervise network rack move-in, installation and cabling.
• Manage subcontractors, manpower, materials and work fronts to meet daily targets.
• Ensure site safety, permits and information are in place before work starts.
• Coordinate with M&E and Network Engineers for progressive power and cooling bring-up and readiness.
• Drive issue resolution from fault identification to closure and ensure timely handover.
