Job summary

Fujitsu is seeking a Facilities Engineering Specialist to join the Western Sydney Data Centre team. This permanent role follows a 4x12-hour shift pattern with days and nights, offering 20% shift allowance and on-site work.

You will oversee data centre security, manage maintenance, lead incident handling, and collaborate with vendors and clients to ensure reliability and SLA adherence.

Qualifications

• Electrical, Mechanical or BMS qualifications preferred, but not essential.
• 2 years experience in a data centre or similar environment.
• Understanding of structured cabling systems and cross connections.
• Able to work independently and troubleshoot customer issues.
• Experience in operational efficiencies and process creation/reviews.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Willing to learn new skills in a dynamic environment.
• Awareness of WHS principles.

Responsibilities

• Oversee data centre security, including physical and access procedures, IT infrastructure, Data Centre Plant and Equipment maintenance.
• Identify faults and issues with the data centre environment and address where possible; escalate as required.
• Assist with regular and ad hoc maintenance, efficiency and reliability of a large data centre facility.
• Lead and coordinate incident management and support procedure reviews.
• Prepare monthly reporting related to data hall environmental conditions, power usage and SLA adherence.
• Manage risk around the DC and assess WHS hazards and incidents.
• Engage with clients and service providers during maintenance coordination.
• Undertake customer remote hands, cross connections and remote console sessions.
