Job summary

vitae group is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead data centre construction projects in Victoria on a 12-month contract with potential extension. You will oversee planning, execution, safety, quality, budget and time objectives, coordinating across delivery teams and suppliers.

Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will manage budgets, schedules and stakeholder relationships, driving continuous improvement and ensuring timely project closure across multiple sites in

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction sector.
• Understanding of formal project management methodologies (PMP/PMBOK or equivalent).
• Ability to manage budgets, resources, and competing priorities.
• People leadership across multidisciplinary teams and contractors across multiple sites.
• High-level problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; SAP experience highly regarded.
• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project plans, budgets, resources, and schedules
• Oversee delivery teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient performance
• Monitor project progress, provide accurate reporting, and ensure timely project closure
• Manage financial performance including forecasting, budgeting, and cost control
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, contractors, and clients
• Identify risks and implement effective mitigation strategies
• Coach and support team members, driving accountability and performance
