Job summary

Amazon seeks a Technical Operations Engineer for Data Centre Engineering Operations in Melbourne. You will support reliability and efficiency of critical data center infrastructure, coordinating with IT and facilities teams to maintain uptime and safety.

Qualifications

2+ years of electrical or mechanical engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Undertake and support maintenance and emergency service of critical systems (switch-gear, generators, UPS, power distribution, chillers, cooling towers, CRAHs, building monitoring systems, fire systems).
Install new rack capacity and provisioning of power/cooling.
Manage on-site contractors and vendors ensuring compliance with procedures and local legislation.
Create performance benchmarks, analyses and reports; manage facility assets.
Generate change management and incident tickets for facility events; assist in resolving issues.
Collaborate with data center IT managers and business leaders to coordinate operations, capacity, and safety.
Drive projects to increase capacity, efficiency, sustainability and reliability; assist in design, commissioning and build-out of data centers.
