Job summary

Amazon Sydney is seeking a Network Development Engineer III to join the Data Center Life Cycle (DCLC) team. You will own network engineering for DC build, refresh and turndown, delivering scalable fabric designs and automation.

You’ll collaborate with Fabric teams, ensure safe operations with zero customer impact, and drive efficiency across the data center lifecycle in a fast-paced cloud environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of IP networking fundamentals and extensive experience in the application of IP protocols.
• Knowledge of network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting.
• Experience in major internet routing protocols, specifically BGP and OSPF.
• Experience with network operating systems such as Cisco IOS and Junos.
• Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment.

Responsibilities

• Own the Network Engineering functions for programs like DC Build, DC refresh and Turndown.
• Work with various network Fabric teams to design, and deliver HLDs, define process required for successful executions for these programs.
• Execute these processes in projects and coordinate impacted network and infrastructure teams to ensure project success.
• Ensure operational excellence, namely that all activities are done safely with no impact to customer traffic.
• Define and implement automation required for the programs.
