Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Network Development Engineer III to join the Data Center Life Cycle (DCLC) team. You will define the technical framework for DC Build, refresh, and turndown programs, track them, and coordinate cross‑functional teams to refresh or exit data centers.

The role emphasizes operational excellence, safety, and automation, working with network, hardware, and software engineers to scale AWS global infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of major internet routing protocols experience.
• 4+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Define the technical framework and metrics for DCLC programs like DC Build, DC refresh and turndown, track them, and tune/optimize the processes when required.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to conceive, design, test, and execute technical processes to refresh or turn down a data center network.
• Execute these processes in concrete projects and coordinate impacted network and infrastructure teams to ensure project success.
• Ensure operational excellence, namely that all activities are done safely with no impact to customer traffic.
• Define and implement automations required for the programs.
