Who we are looking for

We have an ongoing full time position for a Data & Analytics Officer, based in Warrnambool. This position comes with a generous salary of $91,529 to $99,513 p.a. plus superannuation.

We're looking for someone who will support and enhance data-informed decision making by delivering data and analytics services that strengthen organisational capability and improve operational, regulatory, asset management, and customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

On a day-to-day basis, you'll:

  • Deliver reporting, analytics and business intelligence solutions that enable data-informed decision making across the organisation.
  • Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable data products, reports and insights that meet operational needs.
  • Build and maintain robust data pipelines, data models and enterprise reporting assets using Azure Data Factory, SQL and Power BI.
  • Develop trusted, governed and reusable data assets that support consistent reporting, automation, AI and future analytics capabilities.
  • Monitor, maintain and continuously improve data and analytics platforms through effective change management, documentation, troubleshooting and operational support.
Qualifications

We're looking for someone with

  • A tertiary degree or certified qualification in data science, analytics, or engineering, or a related field, or substantial knowledge and expertise.
  • Experience with Azure data orchestration tools and data platforms.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and excellent time management.
  • The ability to engage different user groups to implement improvements to systems and processes.
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving abilities, and a solution orientated mindset.
