Job summary

Ambition Recruitment in Sydney is seeking a data-driven FP&A professional to own the transition to a single source of truth, building the Power BI suite and connecting financial and operational data as the business scales.

You will work directly with the CFO and an in-house ERP developer, automating reporting, managing forecasting cycles, and translating complex data for senior leadership to drive decisions.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL skills (SQL Server Management Studio) and ability to write DAX.
• Experience building Power BI dashboards and reporting models from scratch.
• Working knowledge of Power Platform (Power Automate) and PowerShell scripting.
• API experience (REST/GraphQL) and understanding of data gateways.
• Comfort with large datasets, ideally from an FMCG or large organisation.
• Beneficial FP&A, financial analysis or commercial finance experience.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to translate complex data for non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own transition to a single source of truth for data across the business.
• Design how data is captured, stored and reported.
• Build the Power BI reporting suite from the ground up.
• Collaborate with an in-house software developer building the ERP.
• Move between BAU FP&A and automated, exploratory work to simplify reporting.
• Translate operational and financial data for senior leadership.
