Job summary

The Department of Employment and Workplace Relations is seeking an APS6 Data Analyst within the Workforce Futures branch to advance policy-relevant insights through data-driven analysis in the Australian labour market.

You will identify, obtain and analyse data sources, address data quality issues, and support modelling efforts to inform workforce development and employment strategies across the country.

Responsibilities

• Conducting qualitative and quantitative data analysis to inform robust policy advice.
• Using a range of data sources and methods to support delivery of projects and other priorities.
• Developing and maintaining analytical datasets, code and outputs, ensuring methodological rigour and continuous improvement.
• Preparing analytical outputs and translating into clear, insights for briefs, summaries, presentations, dashboards or other products.
• Working collaboratively in a team environment, and with technical and enabling teams.
