Job summary

Foodbank NSW & ACT is seeking a data analyst to support fundraising and business decision-making through data extraction, reporting and analysis. You will gain exposure to Salesforce, SQL, Power BI and data management while contributing to campaigns and operational reporting.

The role offers hybrid working arrangements in NSW, with a focus on building a strong foundation in data analytics within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Degree with a strong quantitative component (e.g., data science, statistics, mathematics).
• Basic SQL skills and ability to write queries.
• Intermediate Excel skills (lookups, formulas, sorting).
• Experience with Power BI or similar BI/reporting tools desirable; training provided.
• CRM experience desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Extract data from Salesforce and other sources to support fundraising campaigns and business reporting.
• Prepare data for direct mail and EDM campaigns with accurate segmentation.
• Maintain campaign data quality and complete data checks.
• Develop and maintain weekly and monthly reports (Power BI, Cognos).
• Collaborate with fundraising and operations teams and respond to ad hoc data requests.
• Progressively take on broader data management and reporting responsibilities.
