Job summary

MAYDAY Recruitment is partnering with a Queensland not-for-profit to recruit a newly created Finance Business Analyst role. The position is a blend of accounting, reporting and analytics within a small finance team, with the opportunity to influence how financial data is reported and used across the organisation.

You’ll be an Assistant Accountant/Finance Analyst with strong data skills, exposure to Power BI, and a drive to expand into broader analytical finance work.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA/CA progress valued.
• Experience with TechnologyOne or similar ERP highly regarded.
• Excellent data, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end reporting, reconciliations, journals and commentary.
• Prepare weekly, monthly and rolling cashflow reports.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Build and maintain financial models for forecasting and scenario planning.
• Support annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
• Develop dashboards and automated reporting for clarity.
