Job summary

Gate Gourmet, a Gate Group company, is seeking a Data Analyst to join our Mascot head office. You will manage master data generation, documentation, and costing of specifications, ensuring accuracy across ERP systems and product catalogs.

You will collaborate with design, procurement, and production teams, drive data quality improvements, and maintain live data sets for Sales, Distribution and Production Planning.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Data Analytics or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Previous experience in a Data Analytics role.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
• Proactive self-starter with ability to meet timelines.
• Effective verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

We are now looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join our team based at Head office in Mascot. This role reporting to the Master Data Manager directly is responsible for all master data generation and documentation, including menu design/presentation thru spec implementation. This position is responsible for costing of the specification and quality of output.

Your new role includes but not limited to:

• Collaborates with the menu design and procurement team before menu presentations, to ensure menu design meets customer requirements as well as to leverage existing data and product catalogues. Ensures Design Chef’s presentation grid is complete with existing and new recipes and products are clearly identified.
• Collaborate with production to provide effective support and ensure accurate and timely information is communicated.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by reviewing existing processes and implementing opportunities for standardisation, optimisation, and systematisation.
• Attends menu presentation with Design Chef to capture changes, take pictures, and update menu grid during the scrub session after the presentation.
• Update specifications (in collaboration with Menu design chefs and commercial) in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, including A/O equipment, instructions, pictures, and ancillary non-culinary menu items and services.
• Liaises with menu design team to identify required recipes and updates in system.
• Liaises with materials management and procurement team to identify correct existing materials and new materials that require Sourcing.
• Creates and maintains master live data sets for each account in the Company’s ERP system. Live data sets include both Sales and Distribution and Production Planning Data.
• Performs menu reads with the production units and acts as single point of contact for all specification questions in all systems.
• Works with JIRA issue reporting system.
• Performs continuous audits to ensure standard, consistent, and quality master data in catering systems.
• Analyse costing of master data to validate data quality.

What You’ll Need:

• Tertiary qualifications in Data Analytics or equivalent demonstrated experience
• Previous experience in a Data Analytics role
• Possess skills in Microsoft Office applications, specifically EXCEL
• Must have a proactive self-starter approach to tasks
• Willingness to learn
• Can work effectively in a team-based environment
• Must have the ability and desire to meet required timelines
• Ability to communicate well, (verbally and in writing)
