Job description

Are you passionate about helping businesses get more value from data and AI? Do you enjoy working with stakeholders, solving business problems and identifying opportunities to improve the way people work?

We're looking for a Data & AI Enablement Consultant to help a leading financial technology organisation unlock the value of its data and AI capabilities. This is an opportunity to work across a diverse range of business functions, identify meaningful improvement opportunities and help turn ideas into practical outcomes.

The Opportunity

This role sits at the intersection of business consulting, data and AI. You'll work closely with teams across Finance, Legal, Marketing, HR and Technology to understand their challenges, identify opportunities and help determine how existing data and AI capabilities can deliver real business value.

Rather than spending your days building dashboards or writing code, you'll focus on understanding business problems, challenging existing processes and helping teams identify the right solutions.

You'll have access to established data platforms, AI tools and technical specialists who can support the deeper engineering work. Your role will be to connect the dots, shape opportunities and ensure the business focuses on initiatives that genuinely make a difference.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to understand operational challenges, workflows and opportunities for improvement.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage data, analytics, automation and AI to improve efficiency, decision‑making and business outcomes.
  • Challenge existing processes and explore whether activities can be simplified, eliminated or improved before introducing new technology.
  • Translate business problems into clearly defined use cases, including expected benefits, requirements, dependencies and measures of success.
  • Help teams understand what data is available, where it sits, who owns it and what is required to access and use it effectively.
  • Recommend appropriate data and AI tools, leveraging existing platforms and capabilities wherever possible.
  • Work collaboratively with data, engineering and platform teams to assess feasibility and progress promising ideas.
  • Support proof‑of‑concept initiatives, evaluate outcomes and help determine which opportunities should be prioritised.
  • Build relationships across the organisation, coach colleagues and help teams become more confident and self‑sufficient in using data and AI.
What We're Looking For

We're interested in people who combine strong communication skills with analytical thinking, commercial awareness and a genuine interest in technology.

You’ll ideally bring
  • Experience in business analysis, technology consulting, data and analytics, digital transformation, process improvement or a related discipline.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build relationships across different business functions.
  • The ability to ask the right questions, uncover underlying problems and challenge assumptions constructively.
  • A structured approach to problem‑solving, with the ability to assess opportunities, prioritise initiatives and identify measurable business benefits.
  • Practical familiarity with data, analytics, automation or AI‑enabled solutions.
  • An interest in modern AI tools and how they can be applied responsibly to real business challenges.
  • The confidence to work autonomously, navigate ambiguity and quickly understand unfamiliar business areas.
  • The ability to translate technical concepts into clear, accessible language for non‑technical stakeholders.

Experience with platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Glean, Salesforce or Jira would be beneficial. Familiarity with SQL, BI, scripting, automation or cloud data platforms is also valuable.

You don't need to be an expert in every technology, and this isn't a role that requires you to be a specialist Data engineer or data scientist. We're more interested in your ability to understand problems, work with people and identify practical ways to deliver value.

Why Consider This Opportunity?
  • Broad business exposure: Work across multiple functions and gain an understanding of how a large organisation operates.
  • Meaningful AI and data work: Help identify practical opportunities to improve workflows, decision‑making and productivity.
  • Collaborative environment: Work alongside experienced data, AI and technology specialists who can help bring promising ideas to life.
  • Opportunity to shape the function: Join a developing capability where you can influence how business teams identify, assess and adopt data and AI solutions.
  • Variety and autonomy: Tackle different challenges, work with diverse stakeholders and take ownership of how you approach problems.
