Job description

Help a purpose-driven organisation get more value from its data, CRM and AI.

We’re looking for a business-facing Data & AI Enablement Specialist to build practical capability across the organisation. This is a senior individual contributor role with responsibility for driving work across teams, but no direct reports or formal people-management responsibilities.

You’ll work across Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, member and CRM data, and AI-augmented analytics and model building. The organisation has valuable data across its membership, finance, events and digital platforms. The opportunity is to improve how that data is connected, governed and used, strengthen reporting and analytical capability, and help teams make better decisions.

You’ll work closely with the Head of Technology, business teams, system and data owners, and external specialists where deeper technical support is needed.

What you’ll do
  • Develop and improve reporting and analytics using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Work with member and CRM data to improve its structure, quality, integration and use across the organisation.
  • Build and refine data models and datasets that support consistent, trusted reporting and analysis.
  • Use AI-augmented tools and methods to speed up and improve analytics and model building, applying sound judgement to validate outputs.
  • Establish practical data governance, including data ownership, stewardship, standards, definitions, quality controls and escalation.
  • Work with teams to understand business challenges and turn them into useful reporting, data, CRM, automation or AI solutions.
  • Guide the structure and governance of CRM and shared organisational data, including lifecycle design, workflows and data quality.
  • Take initiatives from discovery through implementation, adoption and benefits review.
  • Help business system and data owners understand and meet their responsibilities, while working within Technology’s architecture, standards and frameworks.
  • Coordinate external providers where needed and ensure the organisation retains the requirements, definitions and governance knowledge to manage its data over time.
What you’ll bring
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI and Microsoft Fabric, including building or improving analytics solutions and data models.
  • Experience working with member, customer or CRM data and improving how it is structured, governed and used.
  • Practical experience using AI-augmented approaches for analytics or model building, with the ability to check results and explain their limitations.
  • Experience improving data quality, definitions, ownership or governance.
  • Confidence working with business teams to turn loosely defined questions into clear requirements and useful analysis.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder skills, including the ability to influence senior people without relying on formal authority.
  • Experience delivering data, CRM, analytics or AI initiatives through implementation and adoption.
  • A focus on making data useful for business decisions, rather than producing reports or models without a clear purpose.
  • Good judgement about when to solve a problem directly and when specialist support is needed.

You don’t need to be a software engineer or machine-learning specialist. Relevant qualifications or certifications are welcome, but practical experience, analytical judgement and the ability to work across business and technology are what matter most.

What you’ll focus on first

You’ll assess the current reporting, Fabric, CRM and member-data environment; identify priority improvements; and shape a practical data and AI roadmap. You’ll also help strengthen data governance, improve confidence in reporting and modelling, and identify where AI-augmented analytics can deliver useful outcomes.

Within 12-18 months, you’ll have helped build more reliable data models and reporting, improve the use of member and CRM data, and establish practical examples of AI-enabled analytics that support better decisions.

If you enjoy working across business and technology and turning data into clear, useful outcomes, we’d like to hear from you.
