Job summary

Lumiq Talent is seeking a data/AI consultant to join small, autonomous delivery teams working on complex data problems. Projects typically run 3 to 6 months and are led by Principal Consultants and Directors, not traditional PMs.

You will deliver robust data solutions in agile, with client engagement 2–3 days on site and the rest from home. Opportunities to advance from Consultant to Senior Consultant in a pod of 3–6 people.

Qualifications

• Strong foundations in SQL, Python and Git.
• Comfortable working across the major clouds (Azure, GCP and AWS).
• Ideally from a smaller consultancy where you wore many hats, rather than being pigeonholed in a large firm.
• Software Engineers looking to move into data engineering are welcome.
• Genuinely curious about technology and AI tools.
• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident (visa sponsorship not available).

• Client engagement: focus on one client at a time, generally 2 to 3 days a week on site, with the rest working from home.
