Job summary

Practiv is seeking a Data Engineer to join a team of Data Cloud & AI technologists delivering end-to-end technology solutions for customers.

You will work in a small team with a broad range of responsibilities and projects, building data pipelines, data warehousing, machine learning and AI, and visualization.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of data concepts including modelling, warehousing and ETL.
• Experience collaborating with clients or internal teams.
• Experience with cloud data services (e.g., Google Cloud, Databricks, Snowflake).
• Proficient coding in Python and SQL or Spark; write clean, scalable data code.

• Build end-to-end data pipelines and data integration solutions.
• Design and maintain data warehousing architectures for analytics.

You will work in a small team with a broad range of responsibilities and projects.

Requirements

Essential Skills

• Strong understanding of data concepts, including data modelling, data warehousing, and ETL processes, with the ability to design and implement complex data pipelines efficiently
• Experience working with clients, whether externally as a consultant or internally working with other areas of your organization
• Experience with data services on any or all cloud platforms (e.g. Google Cloud, Databricks, Snowflake)
• Relevant coding experience in languages such as Python and SQL or Spark, and a strong ability to write clean, efficient, and scalable code for data manipulation and system integration

Nice to Have

• Snowflake experience and qualifications is a bonus
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools
• An understanding of what good data security practices entail
