What You Will Do

Reporting to the Senior Base Cabin Crew, this full-time position encompasses responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Announce and demonstrate safety and emergency procedures- ensuring every passenger understands what to do in an emergency.
• Direct and assist passengers in the event of an emergency-you remain calm and capable under pressure.
• Provide outstanding support to all passengers, including unaccompanied minors, nervous travellers, and those with limited English proficiency- you're a reassuring presence for everyone onboard.
• Assist in cleaning the cabin between flights- maintaining a spotless, welcoming environment.
• Administer first aid to passengers or coordinate first aid efforts, as required-you training will prepare you for this.
• Provide the highest possible service to our passengers by ensuring all needs are met, and exceeded where possible.
• Liaise with the pilot-in-command to properly coordinate the effects of any operational requirements (e.g., weather, passenger requirements, early descents, diversions, etc.).
• Ensure that food, beverages, and other supplies are in adequate supply-you're prepared for every flight.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age and able to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
• Hold a current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011), CPR Certificate (HLTAID009), and Responsible Service of Alcohol Statement (or willing to obtain).
• Hold a valid passport with at least 6 months' validity.
• Able to swim fully clothed for 50 meters and tread water for 3 minutes safety is paramount.
• Have excellent health and fitness, normal function of ear, nose, and throat, and adequate vision (with or without glasses).
• Available to work a 24/7 rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
• Have prior customer service experience and a high level of personal presentation.
• Previous experience on the Dash 8 or similar aircraft is highly regarded.

English Language Requirements

• Completed at least 3 years of secondary education in Australia or New Zealand.
• Worked in Australia, New Zealand, UK, Ireland, or USA for 3 of the last 5 years.
• Completed IELTS with an overall score of 5.5.
