Job summary

Mimecast is expanding its ANZ GTM team in Melbourne and seeks a Sales Engineer to drive the technical path to close with customers and partners. This role sits with the sales team to run discovery, demos, and proofs of concept, balancing customer-facing work with partner enablement.

You'll partner with AEs/AMs to craft deal strategy, position Mimecast solutions, and coach channel partners to position and demo Mimecast independently across SMB and mid-market accounts in ANZ.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience as a Sales Engineer or Solutions Engineer (or similar) at a SaaS vendor.
• Demonstrated experience supporting SMB and/or mid-market customers in the ANZ market.
• Hands-on technical knowledge across cybersecurity domains (email security, insider risk, DLP, endpoint, IAM).
• Curious, fast learner with competitive spirit and willingness to coach partners.
• Occasional travel within Australia and New Zealand to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical conversation during the sales cycle from discovery to proof of value and close.
• Deliver clear, compelling presentations and demonstrations to IT leaders, security teams, and business stakeholders.
• Partner with AEs and AMs to build deal strategy and align solutions to customer outcomes.
• Plan and run proofs of concept and value engagements tied to defined success criteria.
• Maintain timely notes across opportunities in SFDC and enable channel partners through joint selling and training.
