Job summary

Peoplebank is seeking a Cyber Security Specialist to protect enterprise IT and OT environments, ensuring security controls, access management, compliance, and incident response capabilities are effectively maintained and enhanced.

The role emphasizes risk monitoring, incident response, and governance, with experience across SIEM, SOC, SCADA/OT, and cloud environments. Based in Perth, this is an initial 6-month contract requiring strong security qualifications.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in cyber security, security operations, or security engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Essential Eight, NIST, ISO 27001, Zero Trust principles, and Azure security technologies.
• Experience across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.
• Exposure to SIEM platforms, incident response, ITIL frameworks, and OT/SCADA environments.
• TOGAF or SABSA certifications are highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage cyber security risks across IT and OT environments.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external SOC providers to investigate and respond to security incidents.
• Assess security systems, identify vulnerabilities, and implement remediation strategies.
• Support governance, compliance, access management, and audit activities (JML).
• Contribute to cyber security awareness initiatives, policies, standards, and business improvement projects.
• Assist with security monitoring and governance of OT systems, including SCADA and CCTV environments.
