Job summary

Pathfinder Recruitment is seeking an experienced Cyber Security & IT Lead to own cyber security and IT operations for a growing Australian brand. You will report to the CTO, shape the IT environment, and influence AI adoption securely.

You will mature the cyber security program in line with Essential Eight and ISO 27001 principles, manage Microsoft security stack, and lead incident response and security awareness across the organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on security or security-focused IT experience.
• Strong Microsoft 365 security and Essential Eight knowledge.
• Understanding of identity, MFA, privileged access and least privilege.
• Pragmatic, risk-based approach focused on real security over compliance theatre.
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) to work smarter.

Responsibilities

• Own and mature the cyber security program aligned to best practices.
• Manage Microsoft security stack across Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Purview and Conditional Access.
• Own identity, access, incident response and security awareness.
• Lead security reporting, risk management and relations with external security partners.
• Provide hands-on IT leadership across Microsoft 365, endpoints, networks and collaboration tools.
• Support technology migrations and consolidation across the business.
• Help establish safe and effective AI usage and security practices.
