Job summary

Evolution Mining in Sydney is seeking a Cyber Security Architect to shape and lead the security architecture across IT and OT environments. This role collaborates with Enterprise Architecture, Group Cyber Security and site stakeholders to embed secure design in major technology initiatives.

Based in Sydney, you will influence security strategy across Australia and Canada, drive governance, and mature cyber architecture practices to strengthen our security posture while supporting safe operations.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing secure IT and OT environments.
• Strong understanding of cyber security architecture, risk management and governance.
• Experience assessing security risks and embedding security controls into technology solutions.
• Ability to influence stakeholders across technical and operational environments.
• Experience working with enterprise architects, infrastructure teams and business leaders.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
• Relevant qualifications in Cyber Security, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• GICSP, IEC62443 or equivalent OT/industrial cyber security certifications highly desirable.
• Broader TOGAF and SABSA credentials well regarded.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Evolution's cyber security architecture framework.
• Define security standards, principles and design patterns for IT and OT environments.
• Partner with architects, engineers and operational stakeholders to embed security into solution design.
• Assess security risks and ensure appropriate controls are incorporated into technology initiatives.
• Support architecture governance activities and Architecture Review Board processes.
• Provide expert guidance on cyber security strategy, threat management and technology risk.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of security architecture, standards and practices.
• Act as a trusted advisor to technology and business stakeholders.
