Ethos BeathChapman is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to support a major uplift program on a nationwide footprint, strengthening enterprise cyber resilience. This role is Sydney or Melbourne based, with an attractive AUD 185K package and citizenship restrictions in place.

In this position you will drive uplift activities, oversee SOC operations and incident response, lead vulnerability management, and contribute to policy development and risk assessments in a growing security function.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cyber security analysis or similar.
• Strong knowledge of Essential Eight, PSPF and ISM.
• Experience delivering uplift, GRC and remediation activities.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Industry certifications beneficial (Security+, GIAC, CISSP, CISM).

Responsabilités

• Drive security uplift activities and translate assessment findings into practical remediation
• Oversee SOC operations and incident response processes
• Lead vulnerability scanning, penetration testing coordination and patch management oversight
• Develop policies, standards, procedures and system security documentation
• Conduct risk assessments and maintain SRMPs
• Support audit and compliance activities aligned to Essential Eight, PSPF and ISM
• Provide technical guidance on secure configurations, hardening and access control
• Prepare clear reporting for governance forums
• Support security awareness and capability uplift across the organisation
