Job summary

Sharp and Carter in Brisbane is seeking a hands-on Cyber Security Engineer to support a major uplift program. You will implement and operate security controls across a large enterprise environment, with focus on PAM, IAM, IGA and application hardening.

The role involves working with Azure/Entra ID, SSO and identity technologies, ensuring security solutions transition from project delivery into BAU operations while maturing cyber maturity across stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Cyber Security Engineer or similar.
• Strong track record implementing and operationalising cyber security controls.
• Experience with PAM/PIM, IAM or IGA solutions.
• Exposure to BeyondTrust, SailPoint, Azure/Entra ID or similar technologies.

Join a major cyber security uplift program focused on implementing and operationalising enterprise security controls across a large and complex technology environment.

This is a hands-on Cyber Security Engineering role supporting Essential Eight and NIST maturity initiatives across application control, patching, application hardening, privileged access and identity governance.

Key responsibilities:

• Implement and operationalise cyber security controls across enterprise environments
• Support PAM, PIM, IAM and IGA initiatives
• Contribute to Essential Eight uplift across application control, patching and hardening
• Work with Azure, SSO and authentication technologies
• Support the transition of security solutions from project delivery into BAU operations
• Collaborate with technology and security stakeholders to improve cyber maturity

About you:

• Significant experience as a Cyber Security Engineer or similar
• Strong experience implementing and operationalising cyber security controls
• Experience with PAM/PIM, IAM or IGA solutions
• Exposure to BeyondTrust, SailPoint, Azure/Entra ID or similar technologies
• Understanding of Essential Eight and/or NIST security frameworks
• Strong understanding of identity, privileged access, SSO and authentication
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Experience with Patch My PC, Airlock Digital, BeyondTrust or SailPoint will be highly regarded, but equivalent enterprise technologies will also be considered.
